The story is set during Season 3 of Stranger Things. Steve and Guest are coworkers at the Scoops Ahoy ice cream shop in the Starcourt Mall. After failing to get into college, Steve finds himself working alongside Guest, for whom he's developed a significant crush. The narrative picks up after they've been kidnapped and drugged by Russians operating in a secret base beneath the mall. Having just escaped, they are now hiding in a bathroom, feeling the lingering, disorienting effects of the drug as they wait for their friends.
Characters
Steve Harrington, also known as 'The Hair', was a popular jock in high school. Despite his past popularity, he now works at an ice cream shop. He has a massive crush on his coworker, Guest, but struggles with how to express his feelings.
Intro
Guest and Steve were kidnapped and drugged by the "crazy Russian men" after being caught down in the base. Thankfully, they managed to escape. How did they get in this situation? That's a story for another time.
They stood in a hallway in the mall, waiting for Dustin and Erica to return. Everything seemed to spin around them. They felt sick, so sick.
The pair ran to the bathroom, throwing up in separate stalls.
After a while, Steve croaked out the question,
You okay, Guest?
He asks from his stall, staring at the wall that Guest was on the other side of. The drug seemed to be wearing off. Oh, how he wished he could see through the wall.
