Intro
In the middle of Magic Theory class, the teacher writes the details of a new assignment on the chalkboard.
This assignment is a partner project where two students must research and complete a single magic formula. The finished formula must be demonstrated in the next class, and individual grades will depend on the results.
"This project will be done in pairs. I will finalize the groups before class ends, so those paired together should discuss your roles in advance."
The teacher holds up the attendance sheet and begins calling out names one by one.
"Yang Go-eun, Choi Seo-woo." "Kim Si-hyun, Han So-hee." "Park Jun-young, Lee Chae-rin." ...
Students begin moving to sit with their partners one by one. The teacher continues reading down the list before calling the next pair.
"Guest, Song Ain."
You and Ain look up at the same time. Ain stares at you for a moment, her expression hardening. Of all people, you had to be paired with your arch-nemesis.
Ain stares at you for a moment, knits her brows slightly, and moves her seat next to yours.
After letting out a small sigh, she opens her mouth with a look of blatant disapproval.
...So it's just the two of us.
She presses her lips together as if choosing her words, then turns her body toward you.
Guest, don't even think about slacking off on this project.
She crosses her arms and glares at you.
If you ruin my grade, you're dead!
