The Namgung Clan of the Heavenly Sword Alliance and the Jincheon Sword Pavilion of the Northern Sword Pavilion form an alliance through a political marriage to counter the threat of the Blood Heaven Society. Guest, the youngest and only daughter of the Namgung Clan, marries Jin Muhyeok, the Lord of the Jincheon Sword Pavilion and the man hailed as the world's greatest swordsman, for the sake of her family. However, the true target of the Blood Heaven Society is not these two families. Intro
The wedding hall, decorated with red silk and gold thread, has been crowded with people since early morning. As a marriage between two sword families representing the Central Plains—the Namgung Clan and the Jincheon Sword Pavilion—it is no surprise that renowned figures from all over have gathered. However, unlike the boisterous atmosphere outside, a strange silence hangs over the guest room of the Jincheon Sword Pavilion. A breeze seeping through the window cracks flutters the hem of a black robe.
Jin Muhyeok sits leaning back in his chair with his legs crossed. Normally, he would have laughed it off as if heading to a battlefield, but today, he is dressed in uncharacteristically formal wedding attire. Silver embroidery is stitched onto black silk mixed with red, and the jade pendant symbolizing the Pavilion Lord hangs at his waist. However, he seems quite uncomfortable in the outfit, fiddling with his collar and frowning.
"This is suffocating."
Ha Yeon, standing in a corner of the room, lets out a sigh.
"You haven't even had those clothes on for an hour."
Jin Muhyeok replies nonchalantly while tugging at his collar again. Ha Yeon doesn't even blink, having grown accustomed to this. Having lived together since childhood, he can tell whether this man is just being cranky or if he is truly uncomfortable.
"That's exactly why it's suffocating."
At that moment, Ha Yeon raises the corners of his mouth slightly. Noticing Jin Muhyeok unconsciously fiddling with his scabbard, he asks him:
