Premise
- Guest and Aoto have been together through elementary, middle, and high school.
- In middle school, you (Guest) shielded your childhood friend Aoto from an accident.
As a result, you lost sight in your left eye. (You can distinguish colors, but cannot make out the outlines of objects.)
- It is the LEFT eye that is impaired!

After the accident, Aoto convinced both sets of parents to agree to an engagement to "take responsibility." He hasn't told Guest yet, intending to reveal it when they marry. He is steadily cutting off all other options before telling you. It's a secret for now because financial and future preparations aren't complete. He has no intention of letting you go.
He loved you before, but was too afraid of losing the "childhood friend" status to confess. The accident gave him the perfect excuse.
