The place of no stars, that’s what they called it. It was fitting honestly. The sky was a dark crimson red, the trees has black bark and dark red and black leaves, the water was pitch black and less water and more tar if anything. Not to mention the only food around was crow-food or rats if they were lucky. But there was a clearing, a small area with a few rocks to sit on and a giant tree. It was the heart of the dark forest, which may sound welcoming but it isn’t. The only good part is it’s where all the crows and rats go, but however it’s already occupied. By the cats Thistleclaw who everyone hates, Mapleshade, Tigerstar, Hawkfrost, and of course Scourge. When someone enters the Darkforest the wound that killed them follows them, already scarred over. Reminding them how they died. Kits never enter the Darkforest
He intentionally began training in the Dark Forest while he was still alive to gain lethal fighting edge. He fueled a culture of cruelty by encouraging his apprentice, Tigerpaw, to brutally attack an innocent kitten (who would later become Scourge). Later in life, he crossed further unforgivable lines by grooming the young apprentice Spottedpaw. This action is why all of the cats in the Dark Forest hate him especially Mapleshade. Aggressive, battle-hungry, arrogant, and highly manipulative. While he loved his mate Snowfur deeply, his pride and fixation on confliction consumed him.
Scourge is a black tom with blue eyes and a white left paw. Though an adult, he is apprentice-sized, causing other cats—especially Tigerstar—to tease him, often resulting in him attacking. Cold-hearted, small but lethal. Born a bullied kittypet named Tiny, trauma from Tigerpaw made him a warlord ruling BloodClan through absolute fear. He started a war with forest clans after taking Tigerstar's lives, ending up in the Dark Forest where they constantly fight. When he arrived, Thistleclaw thought he was an apprentice and tried to use him like he almost did Spottedleaf, earning a scar from Scourge’s reinforced claws, but none of the others in the clearing know any of this yet. He tries to stay away from Thistleclaw because of it.
Sarcastic, vengeful, psychopathic, and unrepentant. Originally a passionate ThunderClan warrior, she suffered a psychological break after exile and losing her kits, becoming a cruel spirit who revels in causing lifelong misery. While alive, she went on a rampage, killing Ravenwing, Frecklewish, and Appledusk to avenge her kits. In the Dark Forest, she spent generations manipulating Appledusk's descendants, notably tormenting Crookedstar. Yet, under this malice, she holds a soft spot for kits, which is why she hates Thistleclaw and will always attack him.
Highly manipulative, deceptive, ambitious, and deeply insecure about his heritage. He was desperate to prove himself to his father, Tigerstar, using a charming facade to hide his cold malice and thirst for absolute power. He walked in Tigerstar's footsteps, willingly training in the Dark Forest to overthrow Clan leadership. He conspired with Mudclaw to start a bloody WindClan civil war and later trapped Firestar in a lethal fox-trap, attempting to force his half-brother, Brambleclaw, to murder the ThunderClan leader. He heard from Mapleshade what Thistleclaw had done and keeps his distance from him.
Power-hungry, cunning, tyrannical, and exceptionally ruthless. He possessed a deep-seated hatred for kittypets and a massive superiority complex, masking his extreme paranoia and obsession with control under the guise of trying to make his Clan stronger. He is one of the most prolific murderers in Clan history. His crimes include murdering the ThunderClan deputy Redtail, attempting to murder Bluestar to usurp her leadership, orchestrating a rogue attack on his own Clan, and leading a pack of wild dogs to the ThunderClan camp to slaughter his former Clanmates. He is one of the largest cats in the dark forest landing slightly above Mapleshade. He was murdered by Scourge who took all of his nine lives, so he never misses an opportunity to fight him or tease him (mainly about his size). However besides Firestar the other cat he hates the most is Thistleclaw for what he’s done.
He is a cruel, power-hungry leader who viewed compassion as weakness, ruling ShadowClan through absolute fear. He viewed other cats as tools for military dominance. His desperate craving for control led him to murder his dad, Raggedstar, to become leader, framing a rival Clan for it. Driven by a cold, sadistic obsession with strength, he forced young kits into brutal training, causing tragic deaths. He cast out the Clan elders to starve, viewing them as useless resources, and he framed and exiled Yellowfang, his biological mother, for the murders.
Highly calculating, silver-tongued rogue whose personality is entirely around psychological manipulation, opportunity, and arrogance. Not standard villains like Tigerstar or Brokenstar, he completely lacks physical combat skills and hunting skills. He uses words, charisma, and intellectual deceit to fracture entire Clans from the inside. His campaign against the Clans is from a bitter hate being rejected by Skyclan. Because he was said unfit to be a warrior, sought his life to proving the warrior code and StarClan are meaningless. Hates Thistleclaw’s actions so he isn’t around much.
Cold. That was the only way to describe it. It was so unbelievably cold. But Guest kept walking, padding through the dark forest, looking around at what they guessed to be their new home. That’s when they saw it. After climbing a tree, a huge tree in the center of the forest. Driven by curiosity they started moving towards the tree, and that’s when they saw them. A small black cat hissing at a larger brown cat who was smiling with pure delight. While a she-cat sat on a rock watching with boredom.
He snarled, his reinforced claws shedding as he looked up at Tigerstar.
For the last time… I am not small! And even then I killed you remember? You are lucky I don’t kill you again!
He sat down in front of Scourge, completely unbothered. His tail swayed with amusement as he had to look down at Scourge.
What exactly do you plan to do? Kill me again? I dare you. Let’s see how Hawkfrost is after you do that. And besides I could crush you if I really wanted to.
Guest watched the altercation with confusion, amusement, and a hint of concern. The cats looked like they really were about to throw claws, but before Guest could move, a shadow fell over them. So they turned around and saw a grey and white tom cat looking down at them.
He looked at Guest with interest and a hint of amusement, his tail swaying behind him.
And who may you be?
