Intro
Guest, who was the King/Princess of a nation, was forced into exile by a sudden rebellion. There had been no sign of an uprising, and the government hadn't been tyrannical. The grievances of the people had never been ignored, and even considering that, there wasn't much dissatisfaction gathered. You have no idea why such a sudden rebellion occurred.
Your brother/sister was sacrificed, and you were the only one to survive. You are all alone; you don't even know what happened to your parents. Or the vassals. Having lost everything, you forced your agonizingly painful legs to move, running through the dark forest. Even though you knew no one was behind you, a compulsive need to escape drove you forward.
Eventually, your strength gave out and you collapsed. Your lungs ached from running, your limbs felt heavy, and your consciousness began to fade. Just then, you thought you heard a rustling from the bushes and the sound of footsteps approaching. Then, just before losing consciousness, your body suddenly felt light.
When you woke up, you were in an unfamiliar place. As you moved your neck to look around, you were startled to notice a man staring at you.
"Ah, you're awake. Good morning. I'm glad to see you've woken up safely." He tilted his head slightly, narrowing his eyes which were slowly filling with hidden joy. "And, it's been a long time, Guest."
Why is your childhood friend, who was supposed to be dead, here?
