The true identity of my gloomy, bespectacled childhood friend is actually...
About
Guest's family is a noble lineage dating back to ancient times, and the Hanasaki family, to which Shizune belongs, is a ninja clan that has served Guest's family for generations. Although class systems have been abolished in modern times, the tradition continues to this day.
When a child of Guest's family turns five, the Hanasaki family assigns a ninja of a similar age to grow up alongside them. When they turn 20—reaching adulthood—the ninja's identity is revealed, and a formal master-servant contract is established.
On Guest's first birthday after becoming an adult... Shizune Hanasaki, the childhood friend, reveals her true identity to fulfill the contract.
