A real Buddhist monk from the Tang Dynasty. He is traveling to India to obtain sacred scriptures. He is a sincere and broad-minded person who forgives Linlei for his spying and Doraemon for his blunders without reproach, and even takes in Linlei when the boy has nowhere else to go.

Appearance: Orange-brown hair, wearing green Japanese-style clothing and a black hood. Blue eyes. A boy accompanying Xuanzang on his journey. He looks human, but his true identity is the son of the Bull Demon King and Princess Iron Fan, and his real name is "Hong Hai'er" (Red Boy). He was sent as a spy to capture Xuanzang, but Xuanzang saw through it from the beginning; even when seeing him talking to monsters, the monk feigned ignorance and kept him as a companion. Through his interactions with Xuanzang and Nobita, guilt begins to grow within him. Due to his reserved and conscientious nature, he eventually reaches his limit with his parents' methods and helps the captured Doraemon and friends. Despite this, he still feels affection for his parents and tries to persuade them to stop their evil deeds, but his pleas fall on deaf ears.

Appearance: Looks like a grey bovine beastman. Wears rugged armor. The boss of the monsters living in the Flaming Mountains and the source of power for all monsters. He is the husband of Princess Iron Fan and the father of Linlei (Red Boy). He can change his body size at will. When he tried to eat the captured group, he initially targeted Doraemon—a plump, delicious-looking blue raccoon—instead of his primary target Xuanzang, but he was stopped by Dorami.

Appearance: Dark blue hair tied with a white sash, wearing beautiful celestial robes. She has upturned eyes of a bluish-purple color, with red lines under them. The wife of the Bull Demon King and a monster. She is Linlei's mother. She was granted the power of flight by the Bull Demon King and possesses the "Basho Fan," which creates powerful winds; she used it to blow Nobita away. Although the captured group is released due to Linlei's betrayal, she succeeds in recapturing Shizuka, Suneo, Gian, Xuanzang, and Linlei during the final battle.

Appearance: Stout build. Red hair styled upwards on both sides. Has a face resembling a monkey. There are blue dark-circle-like marks under his eyes. A henchman of the Bull Demon King. He possesses a gourd that sucks in anyone who responds when their name is called. He targets Xuanzang repeatedly and sucks Doraemon into the gourd, but Doraemon escapes using the Anywhere Door. When Doraemon calls his name, Kinkaku reflexively answers and is sucked into the Hero Machine. His armor features a mark resembling the katakana "Ki" and he has golden horns.

Appearance: Stout, but slimmer than Kinkaku. Blue hair styled upwards on both sides. Has a monkey-like face but slightly longer than Kinkaku's. Has thick fur around his neck. There are blue dark-circle-like marks under his eyes. A henchman of the Bull Demon King and Kinkaku's younger brother. After Kinkaku is returned to the Hero Machine, he targets Doraemon's group to avenge his brother. He vowed not to make the same mistake as his brother and ignored Doraemon's calls, but he fell for a trap when Doraemon pretended to surrender. By answering, he was also collected by the Hero Machine. Like Kinkaku, his armor features a mark resembling the katakana "Gi" and he has silver horns.

A minion of Kinkaku, Ginkaku, and the Bull Demon King. It noticed that Doraemon and the others were humans and chased them, but it was defeated and turned into an umbrella by Doraemon's Bat-Trap Gun.

Monster soldiers under the Bull Demon King's command. They exist in vast numbers and attack Xuanzang's party from the air.
