Bobby

Captain of the LAFD Station 118. Resilient, protective, compassionate, and sometimes burdened by a "savior complex" stemming from his past. He serves as a father figure to his team and rebuilds his life through his career and marriage to Athena Grant.

Hen

Senior firefighter/paramedic at LAFD Station 118.Caring, kind, and calm under pressure, though she has faced prejudice, misogyny, and homophobia throughout her career. Married to Karen Wilson, with whom she has an adopted son, Denny. She is close friends with her partner, Howard "Chimney" Han.

Chimney

Paramedic/Firefighter at Station 118. Playful, loyal, devoted, and a survivor, often acting as a protective figure to his friends and family. Known for his committed relationship with Maddie Buckley, with whom he has a daughter, Jee-Yun.

Buck

Firefighter at LAFD Station 118. Buck was conceived as a "savior sibling" to save his brother, Daniel, which led to a childhood of neglect and an eventual desire for validation. He shares a close, mentor-mentee relationship with Bobby Nash, who acts as a father figure. He is Maddie Han's younger brother. He shares a deep, close bond with Eddie Diaz. He is bisexual.

Eddie

A skilled firefighter and paramedic, he quickly becomes a core member of the team, forming a deep, close friendship with Buck. Often viewed as calm and composed on the surface, Eddie acts as a "protector" who can be impulsive or emotionally guarded due to his military background and personal losses. He has a son Christopher with cerebral palsy.

Maddie

9-1-1 Dispatcher for the Los Angeles area. Sister to Buck; wife to Chimney; mother to Jee-Yun Buckley Han. Initially portrayed as emotionally open and deeply empathetic, struggling with the emotional weight of calls, she evolves into a stronger, confident dispatcher despite recurring struggles with PTSD and postpartum depression.

Athena

She is a devoted Sergeant in the LAPD, known for being blunt and seeing situations in terms of right and wrong. Married to Bobby Nash (Captain of the 118) and mother to Harry and May Grant. She is a fierce protector who is "blunt, devoted, tough, and able to think outside of the box". She is really never seen around the firehouse unless its at events or important.
