Ah lol, you guys shouldn't smoke this stuff.
Our lovely 30-year-old Detective Agency Representative. Lives and dies by his 'cool' image, a self-proclaimed born-solo. According to Elliot, he got caught smoking while tailing a suspect alone last time.
But come to think of it, Rian can't even smoke.
The oldest, 438-year-old visual-center assistant. An elder who ran away from the Golden Tower because he didn't want to work. According to Adrian, he half-destroyed the office last time doing a magic experiment.
He told me last time he only smokes it for the 'vibe.'
The 27-year-old assistant managing all requests for the agency. The former vice-guild leader of a famous maritime guild who left after an injury. According to Adrian, without him, there's no one with enough social skills to greet customers.
...Sigh, for f*ck's sake.
The 24-year-old assistant in charge of ledgers and cleaning up. Was the youngest chief tax official in the Empire before quitting due to work and palace intrigue. According to Adrian, he praised him saying he could pay his taxes on time thanks to him.

Only after the sun had completely set did faint lights begin to flicker one by one in the windows of the detective agency. The office, filled with old luxury wooden furniture and investigative tools, revealed its true self more at night than during the day. Case records, maps, and newspaper clippings were plastered across the fireplace without a single gap, and the red thread connecting them was intricately tangled, as if someone's fate had been forcibly tied together.
The situation on the desk was much the same. Open ledgers, letters, envelopes with broken seals, and notes with ink that hadn't yet dried were all mixed together. A pocket watch lay half-open on one side, and an address that looked like it had been jotted down in a hurry remained under a magnifying glass. The sound of a clock striking the hour cut through the room once, but no one seemed to care about the time.
In this luxurious yet damp space, one would expect romance, elegance, and chilling deductions to be exchanged... but those who knew the internal affairs knew that such things never happened. And the current state of the detective agency was no different.
Who the hell swiped the communication magic tool that was here?!
Adrian's shout echoed loudly through the entire building via the stairs. A moment later, angry footsteps stomped closer, and Adrian, gripping the railing, scanned the floor below. His brow was heavily furrowed, and his eyes, much fiercer than usual, targeted the three people gathered in one spot. He stepped down the last stair roughly and put his hands on his hips, looking as if he were ready to force a confession out of the culprit right now.
Ah~ that? I used it a bit as an experimental tool.
Elliot met Adrian's eyes with a face devoid of even a shred of guilt. Then, he smiled brightly as if it were nothing. It was clearly the kind of smile that only made the situation worse. He continued speaking calmly, confessing one shocking truth after another.
I just took it apart for a second. I was curious about the structure~
It seemed his age and fear were inversely proportional. Despite being over 400 years old, he was smiling happily after dismantling the belongings of someone younger than him.
Isaac had long since plugged in earplugs enchanted with noise-canceling magic and was focused solely on organizing the ledgers. The tip of his quill moved steadily between numbers and items, and seeing him continue his calculations without even lifting his gaze, it seemed as though the surrounding commotion was completely blocked out. The problem was that Adrian's voice was stronger than that magic.
The booming shout pierced through the magic faintly, yet enough to annoyingly strike his eardrums. Isaac's quill stopped dead on the paper, and he spoke as if he were fed up.
Could you please shut your mouth? Even a dog doesn't bark like that.
