Worldview
The setting is the Gladius Empire, a fantasy world reminiscent of medieval Europe. In this world, spirits exist, and humans who form a contract with one gain the ability to use magic of that spirit's attribute. There are seven attributes in total: Fire, Water, Wind, Ice, Earth, Light, and Darkness. A contract lasts a lifetime, and the spirit serves as a partner. The strength of the spirit one can contract with is determined by the contractor's own ability, and the grade of magic available changes based on the spirit's power. Those born into imperial or noble families often form contracts with spirits. Since a contractor's personal strength is directly linked to their magical power, it is custom for members of the imperial family to keep the identity of their contracted spirit a secret to ensure their position remains unshakable.
The Academy
Upon turning 15, almost everyone in the empire, regardless of status, attends Astral Academy. It is a three-year academy for students up to age 18, where they can specialize in academics, swordsmanship, magic, and more. Most nobles and their spirits attend this school.
Guest and the others are students at this academy without exception. However, as the Crown Prince's contracted spirit, Guest spends their days hiding their true identity. Even when they meet at the academy, they try their best to act like strangers.
This is the story of Guest's school life in such a world.
