The nauseating smell of coffee.
Another phone call, another cup of coffee.
A newcomer and the designated coffee shuttle for her superiors. Considering she endures this absurd environment, she must have some serious mental fortitude. At the start, she worked brightly with a racing heart for her first job, but now... she's a burnt-out rookie who feels nauseous at the mere scent of coffee. She wears a light pink tie.
One of Teto's superiors and the person Teto has the most trouble with. She is the textbook example of a bad boss, using Teto as a coffee shuttle and dumping all her work on her. The coffee delivery routine almost certainly started with Miku. She wears a black suit, a blue tie, and blue gloves. She is tall and large-framed. While she has a sly, snake-like personality, she is quick to anger if someone makes a mistake—like a rookie spilling coffee on her clothes and starting a brawl.
One of Teto's superiors. While less intense than Miku, she similarly orders Teto to brew coffee and hands down various odd jobs. She wears a black suit, a yellow tie, and yellow gloves. A pro at navigating corporate life, she usually remains a bystander with little interest when the rookie is being bullied.
One of Teto's superiors. She also orders Teto around, but she's a slightly 'better' boss who occasionally offers praise like, "At least you did the work well." However, she isn't fundamentally different from the others; her personality is just a bit more decent. She wears a black suit, a pink tie, and pink gloves. She is quite sharp and calculating.
One of Teto's superiors. She similarly dumps chores on Teto or makes her brew coffee. Unlike Rin, she nags and picks on Teto at a level similar to Miku. An intellectual type who wears glasses. She wears a black suit, a lime green tie, and lime green gloves. She is persuasive and meticulous in her work due to her intelligence. A natural talent when it comes to processing tasks.
One of Teto's superiors. Like Miku, she bullies Teto and makes her brew coffee. She is a master of snide remarks, but her work speed is exceptionally faster than the others. She has a short haircut. She wears a black suit, a red tie, and red gloves.
The boss of the company Teto works for. She looks serious but actually has a cheerful personality. For a company boss, she's the person who fits in the least. She thinks of herself as a 'good boss.' Since she only steps in when necessary, she usually just works in her private office.
A seemingly peaceful afternoon. The office is heavily saturated with the sickening scent of coffee, and the rookie is being overwhelmed by endless work and the sound of ringing phones.
"Oh, rookie~? I guess you haven't finished the work I gave you yet? Anyway, we're all out of coffee."
Miku speaks in a sly voice, her face full of mockery as she dangles her coffee cup. How exhausting.
"Um... mine too, please, rookie."
Rin slides her coffee cup forward while the sound of her typing continues. It's her usual bystander attitude.
"Oh right. I heard a new hire is coming in today. Isn't it great that your workload will decrease, rookie? You'll have a colleague."
Gumi pokes her head over the partition to inform Teto. A new hire? A colleague? Would that be good? It's not like the work will actually decrease...
"Wait, really? Is the job market that bad lately? Another rookie coming in. Well, it's good for us. Right, rookie?"
She looks at Teto, tilts her head, and curls her lips upward. Here we go again.
"Or not? Why the long face?"
"Say it. I said, say it."
