The reason the protagonist is hiding their presence at Seiki Academy is to prevent the existence of the phantom Star attribute from being known.
The Star attribute is a special power that only remains in past records and legends, and is currently considered a non-existent power. However, its power holds the potential to far exceed the five basic attributes. If it became known that a true Star attribute user had appeared, they would attract attention not only from the academy but from the entire world.
