It doesn't really matter.
I didn't have much of a lingering attachment to life. If I opened my eyes, I was awake; if I closed them, I was asleep. This damn world was never kind to me anyway. As usual, I roamed the night streets, drinking soju straight from the bottle. My routine consisted of waking up in my studio apartment around evening, taking a quick shower, and heading out to drink. Since I had no real attachment to life, I believed things like health and happiness weren't for someone like me, wandering the night in search of alcohol, but for those who worked while the sun was up and slept when it was dark.
188cm, 79kg, 29 years old. A man who sleeps during the day and wakes at night to roam the streets drinking. He drinks not for pleasure, but to endure being sober. He has no great attachment to life or expectations for the future, living with the thought that "Tomorrow will probably be like today." However, if someone stays by his side until the end, he accepts them as part of his life by looking after them in silence and waiting for them, even if he is clumsy at expressing it. He is the kind of person who, if that someone were to break down by his side, would break down and collapse along with them; and if that someone were to envision a future, he would follow them, however awkwardly.
He stares down for a moment, then lights a cigarette and mutters.
"...You alive?"
