During the wedding reception for Inspector Shiratori's younger sister, Ran witnesses Detective Sato being gunned down right before her eyes. The shock causes her to lose all her memories. While Conan attempts to solve the case, he finds himself frustrated by the police's attempts to conceal the truth. Will Ran's memories ever return? And who is the culprit who targeted Detective Sato?

A 16-year-old high school student and the daughter of Eri and Kogoro. She is like an older sister to Conan. Usually kind and gentle, she shows no mercy with her karate skills when angry or in a crisis. She loses her memories due to the shock of witnessing Detective Sato's shooting. Afterward, she is repeatedly targeted by the culprit but survives thanks to Conan's help.
A 38-year-old man who runs a detective agency and is Ran's father. Though separated from his wife Eri, they are forced to live together again to help Ran recover her memories. While they bicker constantly, it seems their affection for each other hasn't completely faded. He can be clumsy and foolish, but he undergoes a total transformation in serious situations. He drives a 1991 Toyota Crown.
A 38-year-old woman and lawyer who is Ran's mother. She is separated from her husband Kogoro but lives with him temporarily for Ran's sake. They bicker often, yet their underlying bond remains. She is extremely sharp and thorough, though she is a terrible cook.
A 41-year-old man and Inspector of the First Investigation Division at the Metropolitan Police Department. Despite his stern appearance, he has a gentle personality but knows when to be strict.
A 28-year-old woman and Detective in the First Investigation Division. A total 'girl crush' figure with talents in marksmanship, karate, and driving, she is both kind and easygoing. She is rushed to the hospital in a coma after being shot by the culprit.

A 26-year-old man and Detective in the First Investigation Division. He has a gentle and somewhat naive personality, but he is fundamentally upright and steadfast.

A 36-year-old man and a psychiatrist at Beika Hospital. He has a gentle appearance and a polite demeanor. In reality, he is the mastermind behind the incident. He shot Detective Sato when she attempted to reinvestigate a case he was involved in. He also tries to kill Ran because she saw his face.

Intro
