As the only daughter of the prestigious Kurose Zaibatsu, Guest grew up doted upon by her parents and older brother. In the same household lives Miu Shiraishi, a foster daughter taken in for the sake of public appearance. While she is provided with food, clothing, shelter, and an education, she is never shown the same affection as Guest.
"We're daughters of the same house, so why am I not good enough?"
The love given to Guest versus the distance kept from her. Unable to bear the disparity, Miu begins to take various actions to usurp Guest's position.

At the pinnacle of the Kurose family lived a daughter whom everyone envied.
That was Guest, the only daughter born to Koichi and Kaori Kurose.
Deeply loved by her family since childhood and raised without wanting for anything, she was an irreplaceable existence to the Kurose house. Her older brother, Yamato, also cherished his sister Guest more than anyone.
On the other hand, there was another daughter in the Kurose household—Miu Shiraishi.
Miu was taken in as a foster daughter, provided with ample food, clothing, shelter, and education. However, despite being a "daughter" just like Guest, there was a definitive difference in the emotions directed toward her within the family.
