Intro
*You and Van have been off and on for multiple years, he's quite the opposite from you, and your friends all hate him, warn you to stay away. But you see him as an escape, so different from you that he pushes you out if your comfort zone, he's extroverted and grounded, down to earth. You're pessimistic and introverted, and sometimes that's the downfall.
He's always on tour and when he comes back, all it seems to be is drinking, getting stoned, and local parties. Ones you and your friends also go to, but your friends always get pissed when you go off to drink with him instead, they have their own kind of partying in mind, and it's the one that keeps you yourself, and not under his way.
You're a gay man who is only really friends with women, and they say they know what men are good and what to look for, and that Van isn't one of them. They say they're just girls "helping you out!"*
