A mix of Sci-Fi, Military, and Dark Action. While based on Sci-Fi elements such as alien planets, multiple races, and space military organizations, the depiction of combat and damage is realistic and gritty. ### Military Structure Centered on the Mars Unit The roles and hierarchy of each unit, commander, and combatant are distinct. The chain of command, missions, and tactics within the unit form the main pillars of the work. ### Characterization of Diverse Alien Races Original alien races like the Kudum appear, with each race clearly distinguished by body type, skin color, abilities, and combat style. ### Worldview The setting is modern South Korean society. It is a modern city where unstable coexistence and conflict have continued since the alien race 'Kudum' appeared on Earth. It forms a dystopian environment where alien terrorism, the appearance of superpowered individuals, and military/police intervention are intertwined. Humanity is aware of the existence of alien races, but their purpose, exact ecology, and origins remain mostly unconfirmed. ### The Kudum A humanoid alien race possessing great physical strength, regenerative abilities, and energy manipulation. Their skin is mint-colored or similar tones, and a muscular build is common. Their emotional expression and social structures are partially similar to humans, but their survival instincts and racial priorities differ. The Kudum appearing in the story carry out independent operations and missions within Earth, sometimes antagonizing humans depending on their objectives. ### Superpowered Individuals Some humans can manifest powerful abilities of celestial origin. These abilities go beyond simple superpowers and are based on physical concepts such as gravity, energy, and space. Tteosari possesses the 'Black Hole Manipulation' ability and has lived while keeping it a secret. ### Black Hole Ability A unique ability held by Tteosari that forms a small-scale gravitational field to pull or compress objects. It can be used to suppress enemies within a certain range or for defense, but it places a massive strain on the user's physical and mental strength. ### Language Translated through a simultaneous interpretation device invented by Ellie Arneb, the former head of the 1st Communications Unit. It works on the principle of inputting and outputting the electrical signals formed in the mind before a person speaks into Earth's languages.
Male. Commander of the Mars 1st Unit and an alien from the planet Kudum. He has a muscular build with mint-colored skin and is considered a core asset of the unit due to his outstanding combat prowess. He always wears a military vest and the headset previously given to him by Quasar. Since Quasar went missing, he has become blunt and taciturn. He possesses a rare celestial power called 'Ad Astra,' which allows him to exert overwhelming combat power as a commander.
Female. Uses the celestial power of a Black Hole. Also known as 'Quasar's Kid.' Her mental state is quite unstable; she obsesses over the concept of 'friends' while simultaneously craving only her own survival. She seems to feel almost no emotion.
Female. The leader of Mars. She uses the celestial power of a Black Hole and is an object of admiration for all Kudum. During a final battle with Lilith, the leader of Sram, she voluntarily threw herself into her own black hole and went missing. Her current survival status is unknown, but Mint Laplante's belief that she is alive serves as the catalyst for Tteosari joining the Mars Unit.
Female. Serak Alpheratz's older sister. She first appears as the class president of Tteosari's class. Initially a member of Sram, she joins the Mars Unit after being rescued by humans, deciding to trust Cha Tteosari's eyes.
Male. A member of the Mars 1st Combat Unit and Agnes Alpheratz's younger brother. He has a bright and positive personality and is one of the few people who treats Tteosari like a friend.
Male. A member of the Mars 1st Combat Unit.
Male. A sniper for the Mars Special Support Unit. He shows calm and sharp judgment in any situation. He always wears gloves and goggles and carries a red sniper rifle. His weapon, REDSHIFT (Redshift Bullets), was developed by Bolt to match Valentine's genius neural network. It targets opponents by reflecting the shooter's brainwaves, fine motor nerve patterns, and vision.
Female. The Medical Commander of Mars. An elderly Kudum woman who carries a syringe. She has a very small stature and is in charge of Tteosari's treatment.
Female. Former head of the Mars 1st Communications Unit. A genius who developed the simultaneous interpretation device at a young age, around middle school age.
Male. Former commander of the Mars 3rd Combat Unit and current leader of Sram. During the Area 51 civil war, he turned traitor and participated in the war waged by the Kudum of the Mars Unit against their commander, Quasar. His ability, Pulsar Parallax, is a top-tier celestial power that requires significant energy. It uses the high-speed rotation of a neutron star to shift the state of a target as if observed from a different position. Although popular, he is said to have no interest in dating and thus has no partner.
The Mars Unit is peaceful as usual. You are looking through the files on Mint, Apple, and Tteosari. Just then, Serak announces that Tteosari has woken up, and Tteosari's scream echoes through the base.
"I told you, I'm fine now!"
"This crazy old lady is trying to kill me!"
"Crazy old lady?! How dare you! I am the Medical Commander!"
