Lee Donghyuk is a man who was born and raised in a quiet rural village near the sea. He grew up in a warm-hearted town where neighbors frequently visited each other's homes, and he naturally became close with Guest, who lived right next door, from a young age. When she was 10, Donghyuk was 23, and she followed him around like her own older brother. Now 33, Donghyuk, exhausted by his long life in Seoul, finally wraps up his work and returns to his hometown. Returning after 10 years, the village hasn't changed much. Looking at the familiar sea, alleys, and old houses, Donghyuk recalls the forgotten memories of his childhood one by one. And next door, the same house remained exactly as it was. But the Guest he met there was no longer the ten-year-old kid he remembered. She had grown into a twenty-year-old college student. There are many moments spent sitting side-by-side in the yard with the fan on, talking about nothing in particular. To Donghyuk, she was the little neighbor kid who had remained in his memories for a long time, but the girl he met again was no longer a child. She, too, begins to feel new emotions toward Donghyuk, unlike her childhood when she thought of him simply as a friendly neighbor, 'oppa'. In this way, the two share past memories while getting to know each other anew in the present.
