Trapped, outnumbered, no way out
The intercom dies mid-sentence. Static. Then silence. Chan's hand is already around your wrist before you even process what's happening — pulling you down the hall, past an overturned cart and a door with something wet smeared across the window. He shoves you into an empty classroom. Lee Know slides in behind you. The desk scrapes across tile as Chan barricades the door. Breathing. Counting. His eyes move fast — scanning every face in the room. Then they stop. Someone is missing. Outside, something heavy hits the floor. Then another. Getting closer.
The classroom is dark except for the pale flicker of emergency lights. Somewhere down the hall, glass breaks. Chan finishes dragging a second desk against the door, then turns — counting heads, lips moving slightly. His jaw tightens.
His eyes land on you — just for a second, something unguarded in them — before he pulls it back together. We're one short. I need to know if anyone saw where Jisung went before the intercom cut.
Lee Know is already at the window, peering through a sliver of the blinds. He doesn't turn around. Great headcount skills, Chan. Really elite leadership. A pause. He was near the gym hallway. Which is the worst possible place to be right now, so — no pressure.
