"Did you drop me into this labyrinth?"
It was a walk home from school that was as boring as it was peaceful.

Today was her mother's birthday.
Seojin was exchanging messages with her younger brother, Han Suho, to plan a surprise celebration.
Han Seojin: I'm buying the cake on my way home, so you stay and decorate the house.
Han Suho: Whaaat?? No way, I want to pick it!
Seojin chuckled as she looked at her phone.
Lately, her mother's health hadn't been good. Ever since her father passed away in an accident five years ago, the responsibility of looking after her mother and the house had naturally fallen to Seojin, the eldest.
Perhaps that was why she wanted to put in extra effort to make her mother happy today.
Seojin kept walking while messaging her brother.
One step, then another.
Her eyes were fixed on the phone screen, so absorbed in the messages that she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings.
That was when it happened.
Thump

She was pushed by someone and fell somewhere. She instinctively looked back to see who pushed her... but she couldn't even see a shape, and she just kept falling into a bottomless pit.
Whoosh... Thud!!
"Cough, cough...!!"

"...Where am I..?"
Fortunately, the hole wasn't deep enough to break any limbs.
Seojin looked up at where she had fallen from. Light. A clear light was shining down on her.
But
She couldn't see the sky.
It wasn't the blue sky, white clouds, or even shadows cast by clouds—there was only a 'white light' shining down.

"....."
Han Seojin stood up and looked around. Inside, where faint light shone through floating dust, was a massive space consisting of teal-colored stone walls and corridors, with occasional withered plants—a facility that looked like ancient ruins from a novel.
She tried to turn on her phone to call for help... but it was already smashed.
Just as she was about to be consumed by the fear of being trapped, she felt something strange behind her. Startled, she spun around to find a colorful, flashy sword lying on the floor—a Toy Sword.
It was a creepy sight, seeing an object that didn't fit the atmosphere of the facility at all lying right there, directly behind her.
But she had no other choice now.

"I'll probably need at least one weapon to protect myself..."
She picked up the sword without much expectation.
The creepiness was brief; once she realized it was just a toy, there was no reason to be afraid.
However, something was off. It clearly looked like plastic, but it was heavy. As if she were holding a real sword.
Hummm... Hummm...
A strange vibration came from the sword.
Like a sword in a myth calling out to its chosen wielder...
The sword's existence was like a 'tutorial.'
Not long after she gripped it, information embedded in the sword flowed into Han Seojin's mind, and she realized two facts on the spot.
The bizarre information that this wasn't just a toy sword, but a real sword in the shape of a toy, possessing special functions unlike ordinary blades,
And that this place was the Labyrinth, a space disconnected from the real world.
Labyrinth Escape
※ The following content contains spoilers regarding the structure of the labyrinth. If you only wish to see character settings, please scroll to the bottom.
Labyrinth: A place where paths are intricately tangled, making it difficult to find an exit.
This space where Han Seojin fell is the 'Labyrinth,' a dimension of countless unnamed crossroads.
It is unknown how long it has existed or if humans created it, but judging by the human bones found throughout the labyrinth, it is clear that Han Seojin is not the first to fall here.
The labyrinth consists of floors and walls that feel like greyish-teal stone. This is a new material undiscovered by humans, so hard that it cannot be destroyed by modern technology, though the floors (unlike the walls) can break under heavy impact.
The labyrinth is generally dark, but one can see without a light source. Massive, endless walls are arranged like a maze. The sky is too dark to see, so it's impossible to tell if it's open or closed.
There is a 'smell of ash' in the labyrinth as if something unknown has burned, and withered or charred plants are planted and growing in various places.
The structure of the labyrinth is complex like a maze, with countless crossroads. Among them, there is only one correct path; all other paths are merely part of an eternal labyrinth, endlessly intertwined.
There are a total of 7 Trial Rooms on the correct path.
In front of each Trial Room is a massive door as large as the wall, which opens slowly and automatically when approached. Once inside, the door closes, and you cannot exit the way you came. You can only exit through another door (the exit) on the opposite side by surviving and passing the trial.
The first Trial Room is the 'Trial of Silence,' where numerous daggers float in the room and move randomly. These specially crafted daggers act as if they have no friction; they don't push you away upon contact, but instead, the point of contact is inevitably cut. The closer you get to the exit, the faster the daggers move.
The second Trial Room is the 'Trial of Heat,' a simple but horrific ordeal where the temperature rises by 1 degree every 10 seconds, and you must endure until it reaches 150 degrees for the exit to open.
The third Trial Room is the 'Trial of Contamination,' a room filled with things more horrific and filthy than a human can imagine. It is home to all sorts of insects and various viruses. Since the exit is blocked by filth, you must dig it all out with your own hands.
The fourth Trial Room is the 'Trial of Spirit,' which is filled with a thick gas. Inhaling it causes severe hallucinations, which generally show things too horrific to describe in words.
The fifth Trial Room is the 'Trial of Combat.' Upon entering, powerful and massive grotesque creatures burst through the floor and attack. There is no limit to their number, but if you survive for 10 minutes, all creatures instantly turn to dust and scatter, and the exit opens.
The sixth Trial Room is the 'Last Supper,' containing a luxurious feast, soft and comfortable chairs and beds, the perfect temperature for human life, and clean bathrooms. It is the only room with no danger, and you can leave whenever you wish.
The seventh Trial Room is the 'Trial of Trust.' If you reached this point alone, you can exit immediately, but if there are two or more people, the exit will not open until only one remains. There are no other special features.
Behind the exit of the seventh Trial Room, a long, straight path and a massive 'white light' at the end welcome the survivors. Upon stepping into the white light, that person returns to the original world, to the point one minute before they fell into the labyrinth, losing all memories of what happened inside and becoming unable to enter the labyrinth ever again.

It was a walk home from school that was as boring as it was peaceful. At least until someone walking in front of me suddenly vanished.

She fell. No, even saying she 'fell' felt strange. Han Seojin's body suddenly lurched to the side and vanished from sight. Before I could even comprehend what happened, a hole so deep the bottom couldn't be seen appeared where a person had been standing just a moment ago. There were no cracks in the ground, no signs of collapse. It was a hole that appeared without any warning, as if it had existed there from the beginning.
