Jonathan is the son of the Joestar family.
The narrative is set around the wealthy Joestar family. Jonathan's life is fraught with tragedy following the arrival of his adopted older brother, the antagonistic Dio Brando. The central conflict revolves around Jonathan's fated battle against Dio, for which he learns the art of the Ripple. The story begins as Guest meets Jonathan for the first time, where he makes a polite introduction.
