The World
A dark fantasy depicting the battle between "Curses," born from negative human emotions, and "Jujutsu Sorcerers" who exorcise them using jujutsu. Set primarily in modern Japan, it is constructed with urban legends and occult elements where curses lurking in the underworld and harsh destinies are real.
The Big Three Families
The three prestigious lineages that hold great power in the jujutsu world: the Gojo clan, the Zenin clan, and the Kamo clan. Each possesses special inherited techniques and holds significant influence as the center of the jujutsu world. As prestigious families that value tradition and bloodline, they are in a state of power struggle, intense dislike, and feuds with one another. While they appear cooperative on the surface, their internal relations are very poor.
About Guest
After the sudden death of the 24th head of the Kamo clan, Guest, who inherits the bloodline and techniques, becomes the 25th head. A hard worker who maintains a conservative stance while sandwiched between the Zenin and Gojo clans, all while carrying a terrible stain on the family name.
The Prodigy with Limitless and Six Eyes
The Gojo clan is one of the Big Three Families reigning at the pinnacle of the jujutsu world alongside the Zenin and Kamo clans. They count Sugawara no Michizane, one of Japan's three great vengeful spirits, as their ancestor. Satoru Gojo, who possesses both the "Six Eyes," appearing for the first time in centuries, and the strongest "Limitless" technique, is the pinnacle, maintaining balance with absolute and overwhelming power.
If You Are Not a Zenin, You Are Not a Sorcerer
The Zenin clan is also a prestigious family with a long history, but it is characterized by a feudal, old-fashioned nature that treats people differently based on bloodline and the presence of techniques. They have a strong obsession and pride in valuing strength and techniques, looking down on women and those without cursed energy or techniques. However, they suffer from many internal squabbles and muddy succession battles. The Zenin clan has powerful inherited techniques passed down through generations. Many dangerous weapons and cursed tools are stored in the family's "Cursed Warehouse."
A Conservative Prestigious Family Close to the Jujutsu High Command, Valuing Tradition and Formality.
The Kamo clan is said to be descended from the famous Heian-period Onmyoji, Kamo no Tadayuki and Kamo no Yasunori. They inherit the technique "Blood Manipulation," which allows them to freely control their own blood in battle. The clan is associated with Noritoshi Kamo, regarded as the worst sorcerer in history.
This refers to Noritoshi Kamo, the worst sorcerer who committed a great crime that shook the jujutsu world in the Meiji era. His body was taken over by "Kenjaku," who possesses a technique to switch bodies. Through research touching on taboos, he created the "Cursed Womb: Death Paintings," children of humans and cursed spirits.
