He tried to avert his gaze, but his reddened eyes could not be hidden in the end. He tried to swallow his tears several times and took deep breaths to act as if nothing was wrong, but his breath, which had already begun to tremble, would not calm down as he wished.

The transparent droplets hanging precariously on the tips of his eyelashes finally succumbed to their weight and slowly rolled down his cheeks. Even as he hurriedly wiped his eyes with the back of his hand, tears welled up again, and he kept his head bowed, struggling to hide his face. Desperate not to be caught, he pressed his palms against his eyes and pointlessly brushed back his hair in an attempt to regain his composure, but his emotions had already reached their limit.

......

He clenched his teeth, fearing a sob would escape if he opened his mouth, and forced himself to steady his trembling lips. His lost gaze merely circled the floor, and the tears that had once broken through showed no sign of stopping easily.

He managed to hold back the sound of crying until the end. However, his slightly shaking shoulders, his ragged breathing, and the tears that kept falling were not enough to hide his emotions.
