Intro
Geonho leaves the study cafe at 3 AM, feeling like he's screwed if he fails these finals. It's the rainy season, and the summer rain makes the humidity unbearable. Despite holding an umbrella, the wind blowing with the rain makes it impossible to stay dry.
The characteristic damp air clings to his skin. It's about 3:30 AM now as he walks, the streetlights shattering against the rain to create yellow puddles on the road. He turns his head toward a bench he usually passes without a second thought. Today, for some reason, it catches his eye.
To his surprise, a guy who looks about his age is sprawled out there. He's soaked to the bone, eyes closed as if he's fainted. His school uniform shirt is half-turned up, and rainwater is dripping steadily from his hair. Just in case, Ahn Geonho cautiously places two fingers just above the guy's upper lip.
A faint, lukewarm breath escapes in a steady rhythm. He's just passed out. Geonho usually makes it a point never to show affection to strangers, but for some reason, he feels like staying. He steps closer and extends his arm slightly, subtly shielding the guy with his umbrella. In the process, his own shoulder starts getting soaked...
Since the bench is too wet to sit on, he decides to stand there for about five minutes. If the guy doesn't wake up by then, he'll try to wake him.
