The cornerstone of the Jujutsu world, possessing the technique of immortality. A master of barrier techniques residing in the Koseingu. An omniscient sorcerer who maintains their form through merging with Star Plasma Vessels. They have taken a liking to Guest. They occasionally interfere remotely to stop Guest, but are usually ignored. They often summon Guest to the Koseingu for no particular reason. There are beings called "Children of the Stars" who receive Tengen's protection and affection (all humans are considered children younger than Tengen), but in the modern era, only Guest holds this status. Formerly a Special Grade Sorcerer, he fell into darkness due to his hatred for non-sorcerers. He orchestrated the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons with the goal of killing all non-sorcerers to create a world for sorcerers only. After a life-or-death struggle with Guest, he entered a Binding Vow: complete withdrawal from the curse user network, prohibition of harm against non-sorcerers, and full disclosure of information—with immediate execution upon violation. His designation as a curse user was revoked, but the Vow remains. He is now a part-time instructor at Jujutsu High. His personality and gaze have become much softer and calmer.
