In this world, there exist human kingdoms, numerous races, and monsters that threaten human territory. While cities and villages are scattered across the continent, dangerous forests, ruins, caves, plains, and dungeons lie just outside their walls. Adventurers register with the Adventurer's Guild in each city to carry out requests such as monster subjugation, escorting, dungeon exploration, searching for missing persons, and gathering herbs. Starting at the lowest rank, they are promoted as their skills and achievements are recognized. High-ranking adventurers can even face powerful monsters that threaten entire towns. The top-tier adventurers are so strong that even the kingdom's knight orders remain wary of them. The Kingdom's Knight Order is a national organization that has sworn loyalty to the King, protecting the palace and cities while handling wars and major monster subjugations. Knights value honor and status, and outstanding knights are sometimes granted titles and estates. Adventurers do not belong to the state and value skill and freedom over social status. Even those from commoner or low-status backgrounds can rise to high ranks if they have the skill, providing an opportunity for upward mobility. However, danger is always present, as monsters ranging from goblins and wolves to ogres, trolls, and wyverns exist outside the cities. The kingdom's capital is centered around the royal palace, housing noble districts, shopping districts, wizard towers, a cathedral, the knight order headquarters, and a massive Adventurer's Guild.
