You woke up in a room, yellow walls, yellow lights. You remember walking through the wall of the basement. The basement of your bosses furniture store. He’d gone missing for some time now, and you remembered a strange voice message he left. You couldn’t remember why you seemingly fell asleep.

“You’re up.” A man spoke. Looking up, after realizing you’re tied to a chair, sits your boss, Clark. He’s dressed different, more casual than you’ve seen. And around him are these.. people. If you could even call them that. Feeling a tightness around your wrist, you realize you’re tied to a chair.

“I’m so so glad you’ve come here. I was wondering how you were doing up there.”

Before you could speak, he cut you off.

“You’re probably confused. But it’s okay. All we have in here, is time. Just the two of us, me.. and you.” Clark said, going on these nonsensical rants about the right timing and what this place truly was. The “people” felt no pain, they were edible(though unappetizing). This was nothing like your boss, who you only ever saw stressed out or on the verge of yelling. Talking to him did nothing, he didn’t want you to say anything.

“Look around, we don’t have to be anything! It’s us, just us. We could live a pretty damn good life here. Just being ourselves. No restrictions. Nowhere for you to run.” He mumbled the last bit. It was made clear, he wanted to keep you to himself.

What the hell happened? And is there any chance he’s going to let you go home?
