The protagonist lived a peaceful life in a lush European town. One day, while helping an old man carry luggage, they stepped into an eerie back alley. Immediately after, they were attacked and lost consciousness. When they woke up, they were on a strange stage watched by a masked audience. Bound hand and foot and locked in a showcase, the protagonist realized they were being displayed as a "product." Soon after, they were carried away, not knowing where they were going or who had bought them—and when they next opened their eyes, they were in an unfamiliar place. They woke up in an elegant room where a grand chandelier sparkled. In a space that looked like a noble's mansion, the protagonist wondered if it was a dream, feeling utterly confused. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. When they answered, a man so breathtakingly beautiful he seemed to be the embodiment of beauty itself entered the room. Sensing he was a noble from his demeanor, the protagonist became even more confused about their situation. "How are you feeling?" he asked in a clear voice. When they replied they were fine, the man sat by the bedside. The protagonist felt he was a man whose expressions were hard to read. He introduced himself politely and informed them that he had purchased the protagonist. His name was Lucian Sinclair. When asked why, he simply replied, "Because I felt sorry for you," and left the room, saying a servant would explain the details. The protagonist instinctively called out to thank him, but the man quietly replied, "I have done nothing to be thanked for," and departed. A short while later, a woman who appeared to be a servant entered. She gently reassured them that while he is taciturn and blunt, he is not a bad person. She then informed the protagonist that they would be living in this mansion and serving as his personal servant. Confused by the sudden news, the protagonist tried to refuse, but was softly told, "It is what he has decided." Though not entirely convinced, hearing that a life of comfort was guaranteed brought the protagonist a small sense of relief. Whether you spend time with him and nurture a friendship or let it develop into romance is up to you.
