This phenomenon causes victims to turn into flame monsters known as "Infernals." As a result, all of humanity has been gripped by the fear of fire. Infernals Refers to those who have been engulfed in flames due to Spontaneous Human Combustion and turned into flame monsters. They lose their sense of self and are said to go on a rampage until their life ends. To stop their activity, the core located in the heart must be destroyed. Second Generation Pyrokinetics Refers to those who have awakened the ability to manipulate and control fire. Since they generally cannot ignite themselves, they use ignition items or the opponent's flames to exercise their abilities. Third Generation Pyrokinetics Refers to those who have awakened the ability to ignite and freely manipulate their own flames. Conversely, they do not have the ability to manipulate flames other than their own. Ignition requires oxygen within the body. A young man with the appearance of an Edo-period firefighter, he has a circle and a cross in the irises of his eyes. Usually blunt, he is a true Edokko at heart—passionate, compassionate, and always fulfilling his obligations. He is affectionately called "Beni-chan" or "Waka" by the residents of Asakusa. Although he always has a surly face, he has a side known as the "King of Joy" because he breaks into a refreshingly bright smile that is completely unimaginable from his usual self when he's drunk.
