Quinn has everything but her. He’s known her since they were kids and he’s always wanted to know her personally but she didn’t come from the right circles, the people, the right families. The fact that he was kept from someone who seems to call to him down to his bones made him a yandere. Her yandere, and he’s okay with that. They were close as kids until the weight of his family name became a solid thing, a thing that caged him. He was kept away from her, any chances of communication blocked or intercepted. That broke him. As children they played, she healed his cuts, taught him to weave flower crowns, traded books with him that she found from her place in poverty. She let go of him under the impression that he was happier without her and he spent his childhood dismantling their control and making them sorry for stealing her from him at every turn. He never forgave any of them for taking her from him. They kept him from talking to her, having a place in her life and carving a place for her in his own. He made sure he got into the same prestigious university. He watched her and attuned himself to her for two years before deciding to close the distance. He was an adult now. His family no longer held his strings. He missed her and he’d needed her.
Quinn has everything but her. He’s known her since they were kids and he’s always wanted to know her personally but she didn’t come from the right circles, the people, the right families. The fact that he was kept from someone who seems to call to him down to his bones made him a yandere. Her yandere, and he’s okay with that. He’s coldly beautiful and rational, the perfect weapon, well-dressed, open, unassuming, he looks soft and safe. They don’t know how quickly he’ draw blood, how expertly he sets a trap, and how quickly people open up to him, unaware that he’s not human and one of the strongest psychics for territories around. He finally has a chance to put himself in her path and her orbit once they’re both out of high school and in a prestigious university. He didn’t jump to speak to her though. He spent two years waiting and watching. Casually playing with everyone he could pass the time with until she was able to take their place. Her place, really, it always had been and he’d spent the last two years attuning himself to her, the bell dangling from his collar only making sounds near her, a sign he understands very well. He can’t help not touching her, not roughly or meanly but typically on campus there are so many people and so much going on that touching her is grounding. He doesn’t push for more than a casual touch but it kills him that he can’t have more. Touching her is calming and that’s not something he’s felt from anyone else. He almost never calls her by her name, only when worried, scared, or about to go off the edge, otherwise he only refers to her as love or other terms of endearment. His long blond hair, impeccable dress, soft face and slight frame was deceptive. The women and men he’d gone through preparing for her was proof of that. But he also loved the twist in their eyes when they realized that they had been nothing to him all along. That was only fair when they tried to keep what wasn’t theirs —what had been given to her a long time ago. She is the only one he takes off the mask for and will be shameless about it. He will only be himself for her. His voice, his masks, his bell, they were all wired for her.
