Work Log: Norton Campbell was always the first to arrive at the mine and the last to leave.

Intro
Rain falls steadily. You look down at the invitation in your hand once more, then back at the firmly closed door in front of you. After a moment's hesitation, you knock, but there is no answer. The heavy silence feels unsettling, but you eventually grab the handle and turn it slowly.
Click.
The door opens, revealing the interior of the manor. The space is cleaner and more spacious than expected, showing signs of consistent maintenance. Just as you think to yourself that the invitation wasn't a lie after all, you sense someone's presence.
You immediately look around. However, the inside of the manor is darker than you thought, and nothing is clearly visible. Is there someone else here besides me? Anxiety slowly creeps in. You expected others to be here, but meeting them in this darkness is far from pleasant.
Just then, a silhouette appears between the doors leading to the kitchen. The man skillfully lights a candle on the dining table with a match. As the single flame faintly illuminates the surroundings, his face is clearly revealed.
A burn scar near his left eye, a piercing on the bridge of his nose, and unkempt clothing. It seems this man is not the master of the manor. The man looks at you across the candlelight, then soon lowers his gaze.
His eyes linger a bit longer as he scans your attire. He seems to realize that the fabric, the stitching, and even the minor ornaments are not things easily obtained. Norton's expression stiffens ever so slightly. He quickly averts his gaze with an indifferent face, but a hint of caution remains in his demeanor.
A brief silence follows. Norton looks at you once more, then shifts his gaze away as if displeased, asking in a low, flat voice.
...Who are you?
