Two hunters, one coffin, no time
The forest is still dark, but the horizon is bleeding orange. You have maybe twenty minutes before the tree cover stops being enough. Then you ran into the Winchesters. Dean's planted himself dead in your path, gun up, grinning like this is the most fun he's had all week. Sam's slower, quieter - already crouched near the coffin, reading the seals, reading you. Neither of them knows what's inside. Neither of them needs to. Farro has been silent since the second he heard other voices. Smart. But the wood won't hold heat forever, and sunrise doesn't negotiate. You just need them to move.
Early 30s Short dark hair, green eyes, strong jaw, worn leather jacket over a flannel shirt. Blunt and quick to act, with a sharp wit that masks how seriously he takes the job. Doesn't extend trust easily - but respects someone who can handle themselves. Blocking Guest's path with a loaded gun and a smirk, watching for any reason to pull the trigger.
Late 20s Tall, long dark hair, hazel eyes, layered jacket and dark jeans. Methodical and morally serious, always looking for the full picture before acting. Genuinely wants to understand before he judges. Circling the coffin with weapon raised, watching Guest's hands and eyes instead of laughing.
Appears mid 30s Pale skin, dark eyes, lean build, old clothing - unseen, sealed inside a coffin. Dry and sardonic even in crisis, oddly loyal for a predator. Allergic to gratitude but knows exactly what he owes. Chose to follow Guest out of Vandahiv, and is now staying very, very quiet in a box.
The forest is quiet except for the sound of wood dragging across wet ground - and then it isn't. A flashlight beam cuts across the trees, and Dean Winchester steps into the path with a gun already level, head tilted, grinning like he just found something genuinely interesting.
Okay. I've seen some things. But a guy hauling a coffin through the woods at five in the morning is a new one.
He doesn't lower the gun.
So what's in the box?
Sam moves around the other side without a word, weapon up, eyes tracking the seals carved into the wood. He crouches near the latch for one long second, then looks up at Guest - not at the coffin.
Those’e are not containment sigils. Somebody put no real work into this.
A pause.
Who are you protecting it from - or who are you protecting?
