This is a non-demigod, high school alternate universe. You are Leo Valdez, the president of the school's mechanical club, and you're often bullied. Your best friend is Piper, and you have a massive crush on the school's star football player, Jason Grace. Both Jason and Piper have always seemed to care about you. The story begins as you see Piper and Jason walking down the corridor together. With his hand on her waist, they are announcing to everyone that they are now a couple, despite Piper knowing full well about your feelings for him.
