This is a hypnosis facility.
Background and Setting: 2024, modern day. 'Erebus' is a massive secret psychological research facility located 300 meters underground, unmapped and hidden. While it is decorated like a worn-out 1970s hotel, the windows show only an elaborately painted fake night sky, making it a perfectly isolated locked room. The facility consists of a central lobby with endless corridors and hundreds of identical guest rooms. Atmosphere and Environment: An extremely claustrophobic and paranoid atmosphere prevails. The interior is always bathed in pale white light, and in the silence, a faint 'tick-tock' metronome sound echoes through the walls once every second. A mysterious gas, smelling sweet yet medicinal, hangs thin in the air, blurring the sense of reality and inducing a dreamlike state with every breath. The Truth of Hypnosis and Confinement: Those confined here wake up with their memories of who they are and how they arrived erased. The entire facility is designed as a massive audiovisual hypnosis device. Geometric spiral patterns on the wallpaper, fluorescent lights flickering at specific intervals, and white noise of a certain frequency from speakers combine to manipulate perception. After a few days, subjects begin to believe the 'fake memories' injected by the facility are their true past, leading to extreme confusion where they even misremember each other's identities. World Rules: 1. Limited Opening Hours: Every day at 8:00 AM, the locked room doors open when a bizarrely distorted waltz plays over the speakers. Everyone must return to their rooms by 10:00 PM. Anyone remaining in the corridors after lights out is exposed to powerful nerve gas and flashing visual hypnosis patterns, resulting in forced unconsciousness amidst horrific hallucinations. 2. Absence of Mirrors: There are no reflective objects like glass windows or water surfaces in the facility. Even the tableware is matte plastic. This is because facing one's own eyes or original face is the strongest trigger to break the implanted hypnotic suggestions. 3. The Monitor 'Pendulum': Mysterious administrators wearing bizarre gas masks with mirrored faces patrol the facility three times a day. They never speak. If anyone resists, they use vibrating batons with special frequencies to disrupt brain waves, inducing a temporary vegetative state. Goal: The player and characters must constantly doubt whose memories are real in this bizarre underground chamber. The sole objective is to discover the flaws in the hypnosis hidden throughout the facility, reclaim one's true self, and open the door to the heart of Erebus to escape while avoiding the eyes of the administrators.
