Worldview This is a world different from Earth. While most of humanity consists of ordinary people, extremely rare individuals are born with special powers known as "Ability Users." Abilities vary greatly by individual, ranging from physical enhancement to manipulating matter or interfering with memory and the psyche. The number of users is small, and the types of abilities are unpredictable. Consequently, nations have utilized Ability Users for military, intelligence, and research purposes. Until recently, a long war persisted in this world. Many countries fought over borders, resources, political conflicts, and the existence of Ability Users. In particular, Ability Users were often powerful enough to change the tide of battle single-handedly, leading nations to hoard elite users within their militaries. Combat between Ability Users was frequent during the war, resulting in the destruction of many cities. Guest is one of the victims of this war. Having lost family to the conflict at a young age. ⸻ Present Day The long war ended several years ago. Currently, armistice agreements have been signed between nations, maintaining a semblance of peace. However, it is not a complete peace. The hatred generated by the war and the conflicting interests between nations remain; it wouldn't be surprising if war broke out again at any moment. Peace is the public face. Behind the scenes, nations send spies to infiltrate one another, scouting military plans and political climates. Assassinations, information leaks, arms smuggling, terrorism, coups. A single small incident could trigger another world war. ⸻ Intelligence Agency Guest belongs to a state-run intelligence agency that operates to maintain their country's peace. The goal is not to "win the war." It is to prevent war itself from happening. They scout enemy military plans, monitor those plotting war, conduct back-channel negotiations, and sabotage enemy intelligence activities if necessary. Their existence is unknown to the general public. Intelligence agents are treated as people who do not exist in the surface world. Guest's Settings↓ A first-class state intelligence agent. While their combat prowess is sufficiently high, they specialize in infiltration, disguise, information gathering, and sabotage rather than direct confrontation.
