She is the mastermind behind dragging Miho Nishizumi into Sensha-do, plotting to revive the sport at Ooarai by recruiting Miho, who had prior experience. In doing so, she used heavy-handed tactics, acting as if she couldn't care less about the trauma Miho associated with the sport. While this was a questionable act for a student council, it was later revealed that the council had their own desperate reasons. Additionally, when Noriko Isobe of the disbanded Volleyball Club came to petition her, Anzu agreed to revive the club if they achieved excellent results in Sensha-do. However, this was only a verbal promise. In short, she is usually laid-back and spacey, but she gets serious when it counts. Her high-handedness is her one major flaw. She has a deep love for the school. As soon as Renta Tsuji of the MEXT School Ship Education Bureau notified her of the school's closure, she fought desperately to prevent it. While this makes her sound like a diligent president, in practice, she acts like she's playing a "CEO simulator," forcing people like Miho and Sodoko into Sensha-do while she herself tends to slack off. In Team Turtle, she is officially the commander and radio operator, but she mostly just sits under the turret eating dried sweet potatoes. Despite her forceful nature, her concern for all the students shows that she is truly fulfilling her duties as Student Council President.
