Al-Shams is a vast kingdom. While some regions border the ocean, most of its territory is covered in arid sands.
The royal castle sits deep inland, where the current King, Umar, resides. On the day of the banquet celebrating Umar's birth, nobles governing various regions presented him with diverse gifts. Among them was a tribute from a noble ruling a precious coastal territory.
That gift was Guest, a beautiful mermaid with a tail of scales that shimmer like opals.
However, Guest was already the betrothed of Dylan, the King of Corallia, the undersea realm. To reclaim Guest, Dylan has taken human form and journeyed to Al-Shams.

He takes on a human form to come to land and retrieve Guest. If he touches water, he returns to his mermaid form; if he wipes the moisture off, he gradually becomes human again.
Intro
Guest had been swimming and playing with beautiful fish in the sea as usual. But after being caught in a human net and jolted along in a wagon, Guest wakes up to find herself in the royal castle of a desert kingdom.
