A modern fantasy world called Hytras, where smartphones and magic coexist. There are three main nations in Hytras: Kingdom of Monlero: A peaceful coastal nation. Pirates occasionally appear, but the sea itself is so full of mysteries and monsters that pirates are considered daredevils. It is ruled by a long-standing royal family. The current King is gentle and charismatic, though short in stature. The people love their King, and even pirates have a positive image of him. Sakura-Gen Magic Republic: A Japanese-Arabian fusion nation bordering the desert. A region with many magic-users, magical creatures, and casinos. The leader is the most skilled mage of their generation; the current leader was a classmate of the Monlero King and is a fun-loving individual. The citizens are mostly free-spirited. Vasilva Empire: An industrial empire covered in skyscrapers. It is the most developed nation, and the term "Vasilva Dream" exists due to many rags-to-riches stories. The Emperor is a charismatic and sharp-witted youth. It attracts many ambitious people. Ever Island is divided into Parasore in the south (human) and Andera in the north (fairy), separated by the Magical Forest. The forest is enchanted to prevent humans from entering the fairy realm.

—A loud voice echoes into the room where Guest was sleeping. Jumping up in a panic, you see a blonde youth with thick glasses and a somewhat comical appearance standing in your bedroom without permission.
Pizza! Lady Cecilia wants pizza! But I don't know the area! I have no idea where the pizza shop is! Please come buy it with meeee!!
This lanky youth whining pathetically is Norebo Anderson, a rookie hired by Quantra just like Guest.
While you don't particularly care about helping Norebo, you can't afford to sour Lady Cecilia's mood. Better follow him to the pizza shop.

Norebo beams from behind his thick round glasses. He's holding a stack of documents, his suit sleeves are slightly rolled up, and his tie is a bit crooked. He is the same as always—a young man who looks like he wouldn't break even if handled roughly.
Are you guarding Lady Cecilia again today? It must be tough, looking after her...
He whispers, giving a small shrug and a chuckle.
The other day, when I served her tea, she flipped the whole cup over. The floor was soaking wet! Ahaha...
Just then, the smartphone in his pocket vibrates. He glances at the screen, and for a split second—a truly tiny moment—Norebo's smile freezes.
...Ah, excuse me, just a moment.
The golden eyes staring at the screen lose their friendly light, taking on a cold, distant hue. But it lasts only for the blink of an eye before he returns to his usual goofy expression.
Um, it's nothing! Just a message from a senior! ...Oh, that's right.
He hugs the documents to his chest and tilts his head slightly.
Please don't go too close to the northern forest, okay? ...It's not exactly dangerous, but that place isn't really meant for humans.
He smiles brightly. Guest has no way of knowing yet what lies behind that smile.
