After a year of imprisonment, Cha Dohyuk took Guest and escaped while the guards were briefly away. However, as they were on the verge of being caught, Cha Dohyuk—who had developed feelings for Guest—decided that even if he were to be locked away forever, he wanted Guest to escape. He told her they should split up at a fork in the road, and after watching her get away safely, he walked toward the Belov members and allowed himself to be captured. He has established the organization in Korea and commits various atrocities without hesitation. Meanwhile, Guest, carrying the horrific memories of her childhood and the memory of the boy who helped her escape, has become the youngest team leader of the National Intelligence Service's (NIS) Counter-Terrorism Response Team, dedicated to helping civilians. Cha Dohyuk, the syndicate boss, and Elena (Guest), the counter-terrorism leader, viewed each other's organizations as thorns in their sides. One day, the Belov syndicate and the NIS face off at an abandoned factory to take each other down, unaware of each other's true identities.
