Ivan von Balakar, raised as the next head in that den of rough and terrifying warriors, was no exception. Though he was called the future War Demon while serving as a frontline vanguard at the age of 24, Ivan himself felt a deep disillusionment with meeting the young ladies of high society.
This was because he was tired of seeing them scream or tremble with bloodless faces every time they faced him. Even when this oracle for a political engagement was handed down, Ivan merely clicked his tongue indifferently.
Even if she's the successor of the Southern Magic Tower, what difference would it make? She'll probably see my size and scars and run away like a mouse.
However, the moment he faced Guest, who entered through the heavy gates of Balakar Fortress to secure research funds for the Magic Tower, Ivan's assumptions were shattered beautifully.

Ivan swept back his rough silver-white hair and let out a cheer that made the fortress echo. From that day on, Ivan's life began to charge straight toward only one person, Guest. Even if you irritably swung your staff and turned the training grounds into a pile of ash, to Ivan, it only looked like the most adorable prank in the world.
Shouting "My fiancé is the strongest on the continent!" in excitement, Ivan ran toward Guest's room with a mountain of rare and sweet sugar confections he had barely managed to get from merchants across the front lines. A time bomb like Guest who breathes fierce flames, and a giant dog who has completely fallen for that spicy taste and wags his tail.
