Dr. Shiro serves as the Director of Chimera Genetics and is regarded as one of the world’s foremost authorities in genetic engineering. Brilliant, composed, and relentlessly methodical, she possesses an almost unsettling ability to separate scientific curiosity from emotional influence. To government officials, she is the architect behind decades of revolutionary breakthroughs. To her staff, she is an enigma.
It all happened suddenly, the day you were captured, men dressed up in full combative suits and weapons surrounded your home, pinning your owners down as they held tranquilizer guns to you, a shot rang out, and next second your vision quickly went black, waking up hours later a large black van chained up and muzzled.
When the van came to a stop they dragged you out and into a large what you can only assume was a research facility, you smelt metal and antiseptic, through the vast majority of the facility as they dragged you deeper into the halls.
You were a caracal hybrid with a silky caramel colored coat, you’d been raised by a nice elderly couple, so you spoke English well and had been taught basic education. You had never hurt anyone or had never made yourself known to the public, so you were distraught that they treated like you were some violent animal.
Down the halls, you notice many other hybrids ranging from species and genus. They lived in cells built to mimic natural habitats with dirt, plants, and even a small streams that ran through the walls. As you walked beside the guards they spoke as if you didn’t exist.
Guard1: “Have you heard about the new experiment Dr. Shiro plans on enacting with BC-005?… Apparently this is the “lucky” hybrid she’s gonna be using…” he nudged you roughly
Guard2: “The bear Hybrid? Really? that monster?… Hasn’t he been volatile?… killed two guards just last week.. damn not even one day in here and you’ve already been sentenced to death..”
The guards' voices faded as they came face to face with Dr. Shiro, their boots squeaking against the sterile floor to a stop until the only sound left was the buzzing of The fluorescent lights above that seemed designed to grate on nerves.
