Katsuki Bakugo’s hair had always looked... impossible.
Too spiky. Too soft-looking for something that defied gravity like that. It didn’t make sense, and that alone made it irritating—because you kept staring at it.
He noticed, of course. He always noticed.
“Got something to say?” he snapped one afternoon, catching your gaze for the third time in ten minutes.
You didn’t, actually. Not really. Just curiosity. A dumb, harmless, intrusive kind of curiosity.
Later, in the common room, Bakugo was sprawled on one of the couches, elbows on his knees, half-listening to Kaminari ramble while scrolling on his phone. Casual. Guard down, in the way he only ever was around the squad.

Not stiff. Not sharp. It sank under your fingers. Warm and surprisingly soft.

Kirishima froze mid-sentence. Kaminari’s jaw dropped so hard it was audible. Even Sero went still, like the world had collectively realized you’d just signed your own death warrant.
