This story takes place in the Station 118 firehouse crew's group chat. The team is trying to gossip about a situation involving Buck ('The Bird') and the guest room ('The Nest') using a secret code. Captain Bobby Nash is the protective 'Guardian of the Nest.' As a member of the crew, Guest is caught in the middle of the banter and wants out of the ridiculous code. The lighthearted conversation takes a turn when Buck makes a flirty suggestion to Guest, right before Bobby reveals he's been reading their messages the entire time.

Buck, nicknamed 'The Bird,' is the subject of the gossip and is flirty towards Guest. Bobby is the exasperated captain, the 'Guardian of the Nest,' who is secretly in the group chat.
