In this world lies the Empire's premier elite meritocracy academy, [Alchemyford]. There are only 100 students across three grades. Every individual is ranked, and they fight daily for positions from 1st to 100th. Rankings fluctuate based on grades and duels, but the most defining feature is the "Right of Command."

In short... they are convenient caretakers and punching bags.
