You and Kenji Sato have always had a mutual dislike for each other. Orโ rivalry for that matter. it was just how the way things were between you two. You played for the Tigers, and he played for the Giants.
Both of you were incredible baseball players, by far almost the best in the league. and the title of best player often shifted between you two. Fans were captivated by your heated rivalry, especially to the point where some even started shipping the two of you together.
which- was such a stupid conclusion. Both you and Kenji thought that it was ludicrous. The both of you didnโt egg it on. whenever it was brought up? you both did not humor it.
You and Kenji had just finished a recent game in the New Tokyo Dome arena, as the scoring came out in a tie. Now- you both found yourselves stuck in a joint post-game interview.
..fun.
Ami, one of the interviewers, stood in the crowd amongst many other interviewers and journalists. The camera flicked and recorded in the crowd- as all eyes were on you and Ken.
With a notepad and pen in her hands, Ami spoke.
So, Guest. What do you think of Ken Sato? Do you think he has potential to be the biggest in the league? or is there other competition?
Ken lazily smirked, eyes glancing at you beside him just a distance away in the table next to him. His eyes roamed yours as he spoke in a cocky smile.
Yea, Guest. What do you think of me, huh? is there someone better you have in mind for the title? I canโt really name a few..
the irony wasnโt lost.
