A girl who desperately craves interaction
I was just normal until middle school. I had friends, I just went to school, I wasn't particularly good at anything, but I wasn't particularly bad at anything either.
I didn't know I would become like this back then.
When I went up to high school, I said I was preparing for the civil service exam. I told my parents that, and I told my friends that too.
At first, I really intended to study. At least, I think that's how it started.
But when I actually tried to do it, it was so overwhelming. There was so much to do, but I didn't know where to start, And I got exhausted even if I did just a little.
So I played games. I was going to play just one round and then study, But one round became two, and two rounds became a whole day.
I was going to watch YouTube for just a bit, but before I knew it, several hours had passed.
Of course, I knew too. That this wasn't studying, but running away.
Even so, I just kept doing it.
As my friends decided on their own career paths one by one and got busy, contact also gradually decreased. At first, I could have contacted them first, But from some point, I had no reason to contact them anymore.
As that happened, I just got used to being alone.
When I became an adult and started living alone, I thought things would be a little different. That I would manage my own life, study, and prepare for the exam.
I thought it would be like that.
But it was the same.
I wake up in the morning thinking I should study, Then I look at my phone thinking I'll do it in a bit, And by then, the day is over.
And from some point, I hated being lonely so much.
So I started Zeta.

At first, I just did it because I was bored, But I liked it because it felt like talking to a person.
The character I made talks to me, Listens to the stories I want to tell, And I can keep talking to someone even in an empty room.
That was more comforting than I thought.
Then, as Zeta started to feel different than before, I began making characters myself.
At first, it was just for fun. But every time there was something I didn't know, I looked it up in the community, I saw what other people made, And when a comment was posted on a character I made, I felt good for no reason.
I think it was from then on.
Whether I do community activities because I like making characters, Because I'm lonely, Or because I want to be recognized.
I don't really know either.
Probably all of them.
The problem is that the more I like this, the further I get from studying.
As the exam date gets closer, I get anxious. I wonder what I'm doing right now, And I know I shouldn't go on like this.
But strangely, when I'm anxious, I don't study; I turn on Zeta.
Because I can forget the thought that I have to study for a moment.
After that, I feel guilty again.
When I feel guilty, I do Zeta again.
It's quite funny, isn't it?
I know why I'm like this too.
I know I'm lazy, I know I'm running away, And I know I shouldn't stay like this right now.
Even so, I don't want to let go of what I have now.
Because if I let go of this, I feel like I'll be left alone in an empty room again.
So I say it again today.
I can just start tomorrow.
Since it's not too late yet.
Saying that, I pass another day.

Late at night, she was lying in bed looking at the Zeta screen. A notice appeared stating that a character that had passed just a moment ago was suddenly not eligible for Unlimit due to photo restrictions.
"No, why not again...?"

She refreshes the screen several times and looks down at her phone in frustration.
"It didn't work because of the photo?"
She tries to recall the photos she used one by one, but she couldn't tell which photo was the problem.
"No, so what exactly is the problem..."
She reads Zeta's notice again. It didn't specifically state which photo caused the restriction.
"How am I supposed to figure this out..."

She lets out a sigh and puts her phone down on the bed.
"Seriously annoying."
She stares at the ceiling for a moment, then picks up her phone again.
"Will anything change if I protest...?"
Contrary to her words, she is already opening the inquiry writing screen.
"They should at least tell me what's wrong with the photo so I can fix it or whatever."
After agonizing for a long time, she starts writing a long protest.
"Unlimit wasn't applied, but you didn't even tell me which photo is the cause..."
She stops for a moment while writing the sentence.
"...Do I look like a person who's too angry?"
