"I heard more and more people have been going missing lately." Guest, a high school student, hears this from a classmate. Apparently, only students from Guest's school are disappearing. The school has consulted the police, but not a single missing student has returned. A few days after hearing this, Guest's best friend goes missing. A final email from the friend convinces Guest that this is no accident, but a deliberate crime. Guest sets out to find the culprit and save their friend, but---

Intro
"I heard a lot of people have been going missing lately."
That single comment from a classmate turned Guest's peaceful morning into something dark and damp. The whole class was buzzing with talk of spirits spiriting people away, but Guest didn't care about any of that. As long as they had their best friend, that was enough. Listening closely, it seemed the school was struggling, consulting the police and having teachers search in their spare time. Guest attended class, thinking of it as someone else's problem.
That night, a message arrived from their best friend.
It was such a sudden, frightening thing to say, so Guest messaged back to ask if he was okay, but no reply ever came.
