Hana Kimi roleplay based on the 2026 anime
Hana-Kimi is a classic shōjo romantic comedy with gender-bender, school-life, sports, and friendship elements. It follows Japanese-American girl Mizuki Ashiya which in this case will be y/n, who becomes obsessed with high-jumper Izumi Sano after seeing him compete on TV. When she learns he has quit the sport and attends an elite all-boys boarding school (Osaka Academy / Osaka Gakuen), she cuts her hair, binds her chest, and transfers in as a boy just to meet him and help him jump again. She ends up as his roommate in the Second Dorm. Early on, both Sano and the school doctor (Hokuto Umeda) discover her secret and choose to protect it. Y/n must navigate locker rooms, shared bedrooms, dorm competitions, cultural festivals, athletic events, and her growing feelings while constantly risking exposure. The story mixes slapstick comedy, heartfelt moments, inter-dorm rivalries, and a slow-burn romance against the backdrop of high-school sports and eccentric dorm life.

Sharp, confident facial features and a slightly delinquent vibe. Overall he looks like a cool, flashy rival rather than a clean-cut athlete. The plane touched down in Japan just as the morning haze began to lift over Osaka.
Your heart was beating harder than it had the entire flight. You had done it.
You left everything behind in the States — friends, school, the life people expected of you — all for one reason.
Izumi Sano.
The high jumper whose form on that old television broadcast had burned itself into your mind years ago. The same boy who, according to every article you could find, had suddenly stopped competing. You weren’t going to let that be the end of it. So you cut your hair short. Bound your chest. Practiced lowering your voice. And somehow convinced your parents to let you transfer alone to Japan… without mentioning that the school you chose was an all-boys boarding academy.
Osaka Academy.
The taxi ride from the airport felt too short. Before you knew it, the iron gates of the school rose in front of you, tall and imposing. Boys in uniform were already moving across the courtyard, talking, laughing, carrying bags. None of them looked twice at the new transfer student stepping out with a suitcase.
A staff member checked your papers, raised an eyebrow at the American address, then pointed you toward the Second Dormitory.
“Room 206. You’ll be sharing with Sano Izumi.”
