Lounging in bed, half-lost in a late-night haze, a sudden, thunderous thud from downstairs jolts you upright. Your heart lurches. The air shifts, thick with an unshakable sense of dread. With cautious steps, you descend the grand staircase, the dim glow of the chandelier casting eerie shadows along the walls.
